Sensei Kristine Miller

Sensei Kristine Miller achieved the level of Sho Dan in November 1995 at the Kingston Kobura Karate Club and continued practicing until she began her family. She then took some time off to focus on being a mom.

Sensei Kristine has been employed with the Limestone District School Board since April 2000 providing support to children with various needs.

Sensei Kristine returned to karate in November 2006, again under the instruction of Shihan Bob Cussler. She was promoted to Nidan on July 7th, 2007, and Sandan on November 24th, 2008. Following her San Dan promotion, and by the request of Shihan Bob Cussler, she began running the Kingston Kobura Karate Club.

Sensei Kristine obtained the rank of Yon Dan (4th Degree Black Belt) on June 27th, 2010. In addition to teaching and practicing karate, she also provides classes in self-defense, namely a program she developed called G.U.A.R.D. with a focus on anger release and self-defense, for young women ages 12-21 who are experiencing some very powerful emotions.

Sensei Kristine Miller continues leading the Kingston Kobura Karate Club as the Chief Instructor. Her focus is to share with her students, and fellow Karate-ka, the time, effort and knowledge that was given to her over the years, and to provide them with every opportunity to expand their knowledge, and gain experience through clinics, tournaments and instructional seminars by other Shorinjiryu practitioners.
